This is one of my favourite skating ponds.
It’s about a 1-1/14 mile hike in, making it a great spot to get away when I need to. The dusting of snow last night could spell the end of skating the next time the sun comes out.
I wasn’t the only one out there today, looks like a pack of wolves also wandered across not long before I got there.
Frozen lakes are some of my favourite things. Winter is easily my favourite season. :)
Just to keep it car themed, here’s the sunset reflected in my Jeep’s hood on the drive home.

That is too warm. It was right around 30 today. Still too warm for the end of November. Barely enough to make it worth putting on a jacket.

I want snow!!! Stupid California!! Move to Colorado or South Dakota?

Colorado has mountains. I don’t remember being there, might have been 2 the last time? South Dakota’s pretty cool though.

I was skating for the most part. This is what the tracks looked like.
But you can see my footprints in the picture of just the skates. They’re directly below the sun, about half-way between the skates and bottom of the frame.

Well SoDak is closer to me, with a more similar climate, but different vegetation. Probably a touch warmer too. Can’t speak for Colorado, but I hear there are some sweet 4x4 trails.

4x4 would be great if I still had my Jeep

Relevant.
Although I wouldn’t call it “Nope”.
